With a song-based approach and a step-by-step programme, my online guitar lessons have been described as “very tailored”, “fun and very practical”, and “clear and easy to practise from”.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, or you’ve been playing for years, I’d love to help.

Adrian didn't think he'd be able to play. 6 months later, he's played 10 songs to a group of people.

What you can learn

Here is just a taster of some of the topics and skills I teach. You will get a personalised plan based on our discussion in your trial lesson.

Play Songs from Start to Finish

My interactive song library contains over 500 songs, across 11 levels of difficulty.

Whether it’s your first time picking up a guitar, or you’ve been playing for years, I’ll help you build your repertoire.

Learn the Fretboard

Take your playing to the next level, and learn how to write, jam, or freely improvise.

Navigate the fretboard and make music, while developing your technique. No previous theory knowledge required.

Train Your Ears

When you can play guitar by ear, you become a faster learner, a better writer, and a more fluent improviser all at once.

Many of my ear training exercises can be done away from the guitar.

Alternative Rock Styles

Discover alternate tunings, pedals and effects, chiming riffs and minimalist guitar solos.

Perfect for those that don’t want to learn blues, country, or metal.

Chris Morton

Musician & Guitar Teacher

I’m Chris, and I’ve been teaching guitar online since 2014. I’ve worked with hundreds of guitarists from beginner to advanced, and have taught over 3,000 guitar lessons.

My guitar playing has been heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, BT Sport, an ITV series, and a Netflix series.

I’ve been playing guitar for over 21 years, and have extensive experience both on stage and in the studio.

I’m also trained in Performance Psychology for Musicians – so if you’re nervous to play in front of someone else, I can help there too.

Just you, your guitar, an internet connection, and a computer or tablet. I even have students who take lessons via their smartphone!

We’ll do the first session on Zoom, and then if you prefer we can try an alternative platform with better sound quality (this works in a web browser)
